Daniel J. Frisch

Dan Frisch is a widely recognized authority on transfer pricing, the economics of international tax policy, and revenue estimation of international tax issues. He has testified before the U.S. Tax Court as an expert witness in several transfer pricing proceedings. Examples include cases involving Seagate Technology Inc., National Semiconductor, Apple Computer, DHL, and GAC Produce Co.

Frisch has been an invited speaker at numerous conferences held by the Tax Executives Institute, Georgetown University Law Center, International Fiscal Association, American Bar Association, American Enterprise Institute, and other groups. His articles have appeared in journals such as Tax Notes and the National Tax Journal.

Prior to joining Horst Frisch, Dan was a Principal at KPMG Peat Marwick. Before that, he was Director for International Taxation in the Office of Tax Analysis of the U.S. Treasury Department. While at Treasury, he was a principal author of the 1988 Study of Intercompany Pricing (also known as the Section 482 White Paper).

He holds Ph.D., M.A. and B.A. degrees in Economics from Harvard University.
